Applying CRL Somaca Heated High Modulus Auto Glass Urethane Adhesive

CRL/Somaca Urethanes are supported by a one-step primer and aerosol cleaner formulated for use in all aspects of glass bonding, including the glass frit, pinchweld, and EPDM/PVC moldings.

1. After removing all of the old urethane to within 1/16 inch of the pinchweld, prepare the pinchweld following the procedures outlined in the CRL Technicians Training Manual. Prime these areas with 1214006 One Step Primer.

2. Clean the inside of the windshield with a BX15 Lint-free Towel and PWR22 Automotive Glass Cleaner.

3. Apply the same 1214006 One Step Primer to the frit area with a BX15 Lint-free Towel and allow to dry for a minimum of 10 minutes, but no more than 8 hours before applying the adhesive. This procedure must be performed above 40°F. NOTE: The One Step Primer must be used prior to any adhesive application to prevent glass displacement. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or vehicle damage.

4. Apply 1214006 One Step Primer to encapsulated moldings if they are part of the bonding area. Packaged in metal cartridges with screw-on 4-1/2" long cone nozzles included in every case. 12 cartridges per case.
