GE SCS2000 SilPruf series is a one-component, high-strength, neutral cure silicone sealant and adhesive for use in structural glazing and on a wide variety of materials in new or remedial weatherproofing applications. SCS2000 SilPruf is applied as a paste and once cured, it produces a durable, formed-in-place silicone rubber joint sealant. Durability-wise, GE SCS 2000 SilPruf series cured silicone rubber exhibits excellent, long term resistance to natural weathering in conditions such as extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation and in rain and snow with negligible change in elasticity. GE SCS 2000 SilPruf’s combination of high tensile strength, high tear strength and the capacity to absorb high deformations (elongation) make this product an outstanding choice for protective glazing designs and seismic applications. GE SCS 2000's VOC is significantly lower than the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (L.E.E.D.) program’s requirements. GE SCS 2000 SilPruf is a neutral cure byproduct with low odor. Its ±50% movement capacity can accommodate 50% movement in both extension and compression and has excellent recovery after cycling.
