Sika Sikaflex 505 UV HV (High Viscosity) is a one-component, moisture curing, silane-terminated polymer (STP) with excellent UV and weathering resistance. Sikaflex 505 UV HV offers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates and has a nine month shelf life when stored unopened at or below 77°F. Sikaflex 505 UV HV is designated for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions must be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility. Sikaflex 505 UV HV sealant contains no solvents or isocyanates, has a low VOC content, offers excellent adhesion to many substrates including aluminum, steel, glass, marble, wood and many different types of plastic. Sikaflex 505 UV HV has excellent tooling characteristics, is fast curing even at low temperatures and is highly weather resistant. Sikaflex 505 UV HV has excellent UV resistance, is easily paintable, does not stain and is non-yellowing. The chemical reaction is set in motion as soon as the Sikaflex 505 UV HV is extruded. Initially paste-like in consistency, Sikaflex 505 UV HV cures to form a high grade elastomer.
