Dow Contractors Professional Paintable Sealant (CPS) is a primer-less sealant that is used on many common non-porous building substrates. Dow contractors paintable sealant (CPS) is uniquely weather-resistant and its medium-modulus formulation possesses excellent adhesive strength and high movement capabilities which renders it very ideal to perform when joints are subjected to shear, tensile and compression extremes. Dow CPS is easily gunnable in weather conditions from -20 to +120°F. Because Dow contractors paintable sealant (CPS) requires no mixing and a smaller joint ratio, it is an economical, high-performance alternative to other sealant options with a ±40 percent movement capability. Dow contractors paintable sealant (CPS) possesses the elasticity of silcone but can be painted due to its hybrid system technology. The result is a fast-curing, non-sagging, elastomeric hybrid sealant. This non-yellowing, one-component sealant can be used for diverse substrates, including concrete, masonry, aluminum, steel, wood, vinyl and plastic sidings, which are widely used for commercial, light commercial and residential applications. This sealant cures quickly and is paintable as soon as it is tack-free. When cured, the high-movement sealant is capable of extending and compressing up to ±50 percent of the original joint width.
